We founded Crystal D Studio in 2014. Since then, our team has had the honor of capturing over 500 weddings!
To secure your date, we require a signed contract and a small retainer fee (please see our pricing PDF for details). The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding date.
Unfortunately, we cannot hold dates. To be fair to all our couples, we work on a first-come, first-serve basis. To officially secure your date, we require two things: a signed digital contract and the retainer payment. Once those are received, your date is
We deliver your images in two parts:
Sneak Peeks: You’ll receive a preview gallery via email within 2 days of your wedding. These will also be posted on Instagram for you to share with friends and family.
Full Gallery: Your complete, high-resolution image gallery will be delivered within 4 weeks.
This is one of our most common (and valid!) concerns. Please don’t worry—our job isn’t to turn you into models. Our job is to make you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves.
We use prompts, not poses. Instead of a stiff, “Stand there, tilt your head, and smile,” we’ll give you actions to do together. We might ask you to walk, to whisper what you’re most excited about, or to tell each other a memory from your first date. This creates real, natural interactions and genuine smiles. Our goal is to capture your connection, and we find that happens best when you’re focused on each other, not on us.
We are inspired by connection. While a beautiful venue and stunning details are wonderful, we’re not just there for the “things.” We’re looking for the moments.
We’re looking for the way your partner’s breath catches when they first see you. We’re looking for the squeeze of your parent’s hand, the burst of laughter from your best friend, and the quiet, happy tear from your grandparent. We believe that 20 years from now, it won’t be the things you want to remember—it will be the feelings. Our entire creative process is built around capturing those feelings.
We deliver your films in two parts to make sure you get to see something right away:
Sneak Peek: You’ll receive a 60-second teaser film within 7 days of your wedding. It will be emailed to you and posted on Instagram for you to easily share.
Final Films: Within 8-12 weeks of your wedding, you will receive links to your 4-5 minute Cinematic Film and the Full-Length Documentary.
We focus on quality over quantity, so we don’t set a strict photo limit. Our goal is to capture the full story of your day. On average, you can expect to receive between 600 – 1500 fully edited, high-resolution photos. The final number depends on the length of your coverage and the number of events.
We understand that timelines can shift! If your event runs late, we will always check with you or your wedding coordinator first. We will get your verbal approval to continue coverage at our standard overtime rate (detailed in your contract). We will send an invoice for any additional hours after the wedding.
We always come prepared with a backup plan! We are very comfortable shooting in all kinds of weather and will work with you to find a beautiful sheltered location or get creative with umbrellas.
However, if the weather is truly severe (like a major storm) and prevents us from capturing your outdoor portraits at all, we’ve got you covered. We will provide a complimentary 2-hour couple’s portrait session on a different day.
Having two videographers is one of the key ways we ensure a truly dynamic and comprehensive film. It allows us to elevate your wedding video from a simple recording to a cinematic story. Here’s why it’s so important:
Multiple Perspectives: Simply put, we can be in two places at once. During your ceremony, one of us can capture your partner’s emotional expression as you walk down the aisle, while the other captures your grand entrance. This is impossible with just one person.
Richer Storytelling: It allows us to get both a “safe” wide shot (capturing the whole scene) and artistic “close-up” shots (focusing on hands, faces, and emotions) at the same time. When we edit your film, this variety is what allows us to build emotion and tell a more engaging story.
Fuller Coverage: During speeches, one videographer can focus on the speaker, while the other captures the reactions of you and your guests.
Backup: It acts as the ultimate built-in backup, ensuring that every angle of your most important moments is captured.
Think of 4K (or Ultra HD) as a “future-proof” for your wedding memories. It’s a video resolution that is four times sharper and more detailed than standard 1080p HD.
Here’s why we film in 4K and why it matters for you:
Stunning Detail: The clarity is breathtaking. 4K resolution allows us to capture the intricate details of your day—from the delicate lace on your dress to the subtle emotional expressions that might be missed in lower resolutions.
Future-Proofing: Most new TVs and computer screens are already 4K or higher. Filming in 4K ensures that your wedding films will look crystal-clear and high-quality for decades to come, rather than looking “outdated” as technology advances.
Creative Flexibility: From an artistic standpoint, 4K gives us incredible flexibility in the editing room. The massive file size allows us to re-frame or “zoom in” on a shot to create a new, beautiful close-up without losing any quality. This helps us be more creative in building your final cinematic film.
Ultimately, we use 4K because it delivers the highest-quality, most timeless product and gives us the creative tools needed to tell your story beautifully.
